Ask any service desk managers about the key performance indicators (KPIs) they are tracking, and we're willing to bet that Kill Rate Percentage is highly likely to be on their list. 


This KPI takes a look at your ratio of closed to open tickets, informing you of how well you're doing at staying ahead of your backlog and moving through your ticket queue. Ideally, you want your Kill Rate % to be equal to or greater than 100% for a given period, as that means you've closed more tickets than were opened.
